A 2026 systematic review found that creatine supplementation produced small average improvements in performance and body-composition outcomes among women. Does creatine improve body composition in women?

This should not be interpreted as evidence that creatine is a fat-loss supplement. Creatine does not create the energy deficit required for weight loss. When combined with resistance training, it may help support lean tissue and training performance.
